Privacy, in plain language.
Villow exists because property portals sell your phone number. This policy is short because our answer is short: we collect almost nothing, and what we do collect stays with one team, ours.
Last updated 4 July 2026
The promise, up front: your number goes to ONE team, ours. It is never sold, never shared, never traded to brokers, banks, DSAs or marketers. Not for money, not as a “partnership”, not ever.
What we collect
Nothing, until you ask us to contact you. When you submit an enquiry form (book a viewing, ask about a loan, request a verification), we store:
- your name and phone number, exactly as you typed them;
- your message, if you wrote one;
- which home, project or guide you were asking about;
- the fact that you ticked the consent box, with a timestamp.
For abuse prevention we also store a one-way salted hash of your IP address (we cannot recover the address from it) and your browser's user-agent string. Browsing the site stores nothing about you: we run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. If you sign in to a Villow account, a session cookie keeps you signed in, and that is its only job.
Why we collect it
One reason: so a Villow advisor, an employee of ours, not a reseller, can call or WhatsApp you back about the thing you asked for. We process your details on the basis of the explicit consent you give at the form, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Where it lives and who can see it
Enquiries are stored in our own database, with access restricted at the database level to Villow's in-house team. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process the data on our behalf to run the service; they get no rights to use it for anything else. Standard server logs exist at the hosting layer, as they do for every website.
How long we keep it
For as long as we're actively helping you, and no longer than needed after that. Ask us to delete your details and we will, subject only to records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or withdraw consent entirely. Tell any Villow advisor, or send the request through the contact form and mention it's a privacy request. We'll act on it and confirm back to you on the same number, since it's the only place your number exists.
Children
Villow is a property service for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new text and a new date appear here. We will not quietly loosen the promise above; it is the reason this company exists.
